Impression Search can trace its early stages back to 2002. It was then that our founder and co-owner, Erin Pauls, began working as the Marketing Manager for Kaplan Professional Schools (a division of Kaplan, Inc.). Her experiences at this position are what served as the backbone for her exciting future in pay-per-click (PPC) management.

One of Erin’s main responsibilities at Kaplan was to create from scratch, develop, and maintain the company’s PPC accounts with Google and Overture (now Yahoo Search Marketing). This was back when Google worked only on a cost-per-impression basis and Overture was considered the key player in the PPC market. Things have obviously changed dramatically since then, and Erin could not have been at a better place at a better time. She is fortunate enough to have been right there to witness and learn from every step of the PPC industry’s growth, from its meager beginnings to its highly developed present-day technology.

After she had thoroughly developed an extensive PPC background, Erin decided to leave Kaplan on friendly terms in early 2005 in order to fulfill her lifelong ambition of owning her own business. She wasted no time in obtaining her first PPC clients through referrals, and soon after she launched her first website using her new business name, Impression Marketing Concepts. Alongside the website, Erin created her own Google and Yahoo PPC campaigns, which, together with outside referrals, have brought in each and every client that Impression Search now supports.

In mid-2006, Erin and her husband, David, founded Wynne Brooke, Inc. in order to unite and incorporate their two complementary businesses. While Erin leads the division that she has since renamed as Impression Search, David heads up the Green Room Consulting side (www.greenroom.net). Green Room Consulting is a full-service IT consulting firm that specializes in helping businesses and independent professionals leverage technology to make their business more efficient.

Today, Impression Search persists in living up to its reputation as a small company with big results. We have experienced the privilege of serving clients of many sizes in an impressive variety of markets, and thus we are constantly cultivating and fine-tuning our PPC knowledge and exclusive strategies. And while building and strengthening our client base through PPC and referrals continues to be very important to us, our top priority remains doing everything we possibly can to help our current clients meet and exceed their objectives.

Of our many accomplishments, we are most proud of the fact that our success story speaks volumes about the effectiveness of our services. Besides Impression Search, who else out there can truthfully say that they built their business from the ground up by literally practicing what they preach?

Both Erin and David are graduates of the University of California, Irvine – Erin with a B.A. in Economics and a Minor in Management; David with a B.A. in Economics.
